3 Things You Must Bring for a City Adventure (Maybe More!)

A reliable teammate of the opposite gender who can support you under stress, keep up with your pace, and think on the same wavelength as you.

Essentials:

1. A smartphone (iOS 9 or Android 4 and above) with an internet connection. (You will need to download an app of approximately 75MB to participate.)
2. A portable battery pack and charging cable (Your phone’s GPS must stay on throughout the race, and since you will use your phone frequently, your battery may drain quickly.)
3. Istanbul Card (for metro, tram, and other public transportation.)

A Few Tips:

1. You will need to complete various tasks across Istanbul using a phone app. Running fast alone won't be enough; you will also need to develop different strategies on the go.
2. Tasks may include taking photos, recording videos, solving puzzles, bodyweight exercises, or even some artistic challenges.
3. There is no dress code. You will be running in the city, climbing stairs, getting on and off public transport, and doing some upper body and core exercises at certain points. You won’t just be running on main streets—you may need to enter side streets and back alleys (either to find a faster route or because you got lost). At the finish line, you’ll enjoy a closing treat and an after-party. (Bringing a spare outfit is a great idea!)
4. The fastest team does not necessarily win. The winner is determined by the highest score. There is no fixed route or mandatory checkpoint order. You don’t have to complete every task.
5. Your team must stay together throughout the race. Don’t make us put electronic bracelets on you…
6. The adventure takes place entirely in public and open traffic areas. Please follow traffic and social rules, buy the required ticket for public transport, respect people and animals around you, do not pick flowers, and do not litter!
7. We might have a few surprise food stops, but to avoid dehydration, bring an eco-friendly water bottle filled up before the start. After all, you may choose not to visit that stop…
